An extra-small group tour to the Sapphire ice cave located on Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. This tour is operated by a small, local company.
You'll meet your licensed guide at Jökulsárlón. From there it's an approximately 30 minute drive in a 4x4 truck to the glacier parking. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the edge of the glacier where the Sapphire cave is located. We usually spend around 30-45 minutes in the cave, taking plenty of photos and exploring the various formations in the cave.

Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Most travelers can participate. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers.
