Open Air Museum and Street Art Tour of Ortica in Milan

 +3 photos
Discover the original expressions of the street artists of the Ortica district, an area with a not exactly happy past. Explore the first open-air museum district of Milan, thanks to the Or.Me project, a "narrative and memory journey" undertaken by the street artist duo Orticanoodles.
Meet your guide and begin your tour. Learn about the dense web of viaducts and tracks which, together with the sinuous course of the Lambro, have "isolated" the neighborhood for a long time, until the fields (the vegetable gardens, as the name suggests) gave way to workers' houses.
This tour will take you in an unconventional way to discover the history, origins, present, and future of the artistic phenomenon of street art, starting from the streets where the works are born: analyze techniques, styles, protagonists, and motivations that transform the aspect of the places you live in, making the city different and alive every day.
