Tickets for Solferino and San Martino Museums

A journey through time, to discover the places of the Risorgimento. Here Italy was made; here the idea of the Red Cross was born. Visit the Tower, the Fortress and the Museum of Solferino for only 10 euros!

• The Tower of San Martino stands on the highest hill of San Martino that the Sardinian army, with alternate fortunes, conquered, lost and regained several times with bloody assaults and repeated charges against the Austrians.
• The Fortress of Solferino is located on the top of the highest hill of Solferino, disputed by the Austrians to the French army allied with the Piedmontese in the battle of 24June 1859, a majestic 23-metre-high building dating back to 1022. Defined "The Spy of Italy" for its strategic position, surrounded by a large park. In the Fortress, purchased and restored by the Society, are preserved relics found on the battlefield.
• The museum of Solferino is located at the foot of the park of the Fortress and the adjacent park of the church-ossary. On display are some examples of cannons, weapons, uniforms and various memorabilia from the historic day of 24 June 1859.
  The Solferino and San Martino Society also manages the two Ossuary Chapels, in San Martino and Solferino, in memory of the fallen, included in the ticket.
