+5 photos
Discover the true flavors of Florence with an authentic cooking experience that begins at the bustling Central Market and culminates in a hands-on class preparing iconic Italian dishes like lasagna and tiramisu. Savor your creations alongside carefully selected Tuscan wines while exploring local culinary traditions and techniques.
Experience Florence like a local with this immersive journey into Tuscan life. Start your day at the lively Central Market, guided by a professional Chef, sampling seasonal produce, aromatic herbs, cured meats, and regional cheeses while learning how to choose the finest ingredients. Then, head to the Towns of Italy Cooking School, where you’ll create two classic dishes from scratch: a rich, layered lasagna with fresh pasta, slow-cooked Bolognese ragù, and creamy béchamel, followed by a perfect tiramisu, mastering its indulgent layers.
After cooking, enjoy your handmade meal with your group, paired with a selection of Tuscan wines and a traditional dessert wine. Your Chef will also introduce you to the essentials of Tuscan wine, sharing what makes it so distinctive. Throughout the class, gain practical cooking skills and expert tips to boost your confidence in the kitchen. At the end, you’ll receive a digital recipe booklet to recreate these authentic dishes at home.
Please note: Market visits take place Monday through Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays, when the market is closed, the experience includes a special introduction and additional tastings at the cooking school. Vegetarian options are available; please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies in advance.
