Not recommended for travelers with back problems. Near public transportation. Not wheelchair accessible. Most travelers can participate. Please be aware the Cathedral of Pisa is an “operating” church, and it can be closed to visitors for any liturgical reason, even without warning (for the funeral of a Cardinal, for example).. There are 251 steps to climb the tower. There is no lift.. No big bags or backpacks. No Sleeveless shirts or shorts.. Children under the age of 9 are not allowed to climb the leaning tower for safety reasons, but they can enjoy other parts of the tour.. Please note, the off season is often used as an opportunity for restorations, often unannounced.. Individuals wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts or skirts above the knees are not allowed inside the Cathedral.. Please be advised that the Baptistery will be closed to visitors from 2 October to 1 December 2023 due to restoration work of the matroneum. The tour will include a visit to Camposanto instead during this period.. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers. Confirmation will be received at time of booking
