Between catacombs and ancient quarries, in the largest underground of Rome

+9 photos
Inside one of the most beautiful parks of the city you will be taken back to the ancient Romans time in a comforting ambience where the temperature does not exceed the 16° celsius degrees (about 60 fahrenheit). You will visit an ancient Roman quarry that extends underground for over 35 kilometers (about 21 miles). We will accompany you on a fascinating journey through the underground realities of the Eternal City to discover how slaves worked and let you experience the light of an ancient Roman lamp while exploring thousand-year-old catacombs!
But IT doesn't end here : the journey continues through a second world war mushroom farm until you reach a mithraeum, an ancient pagan temple of a now forgotten religion and in which Christianity has its roots. If you come to Rome, you cannot miss this place!
We'll give you a headlamp, a helmet, and take you on a journey of more than a mile into the city's historic dungeons. This is not a tour, but a truly unforgettable experience.
