The Rome Italy Temple is a sacred temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The design of the temple reflects both traditional and modern architectural styles, with elegant features that blend with Rome's rich historical heritage. It stands as a symbol of faith for Latter-day Saints in Italy, offering various religious ceremonies and ordinances, including baptisms for the deceased, eternal marriages, and other sacred rites. The temple is open to members of the LDS Church who hold a Temple Recommend and is not generally open to the public, except for a limited period during an open house before the official dedication. The Rome Italy Temple was the first LDS temple built in Italy and is an important milestone for the LDS Church in Europe. Visitors are welcome to see the surrounding grounds, which are beautifully landscaped with gardens and scenic views.
