What To Expect

Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are the undisputed protagonists of the 79 AD eruption.
Get to know more about it with this incredible full day experience.
You will visit Pompeii in a small group tour led by an Archaeologist guide who will show you the best highlights of the site like the Forum – the main square of the city –, the main houses and buildings.
Then meet the hiking guide in the afternoon and leave with our minibus for up to 14 people with direction to Mount Vesuvius.
Hike the volcano and reach the top of it: look inside the still quiescent crater and wonder at the amazing landscape around you and the beautiful panorama overlooking the Bay of Naples.
At the end of the excursion be brought back to Pompeii where the tour began.

What to remember

Important info

Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. Children under 4 y.o. are not allowed. Wear comfortable shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen in the summer.. Bring a small bottle of water. If the Vesuvius is not accessible due to force majeur, the tour will include the visit of Herculaneum instead of Vesuvius.. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers. Confirmation will be received at time of booking
