Once an important Etruscan enclave and then Roman outpost, Arezzo turned into a great cultural and artistic center thanks to Guido Tarlati, who was the local bishop in the 14th century.At the end of that century, Arezzo passed under the domination of the Medici family, thus changing its history forever.
