What To Expect
If you are travelling to Catania, you can't miss the chance to visit the St. Benedict's Church, situated in via Crociferi.Your ticket will give you access to the ruins of a Roman domus, found under the monastery, belonging to the original Roman settlement from 679 B.C.; to the 18th century parlour, where the nuns met their visiting relatives; to the staircase of Angels, the monumental main entrance to the St. Benedict church, with 8 angels statues by Nicolò Mignemi; and to the St. Benedict church.Discover this example of late Baroque architecture that belongs to the St. Benedict Monastery, a female cloistered convent, which still houses nuns today.

- pets inside the church
- clothing that does not cover shoulders and knees
Know in advance:
- children (age 0-5) can enter the St. Benedict Church for free
- if you are with a baby, you can leave the stroller at the ticket office
- you can start your visit at every moment during the opening hours: usually Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (last admission at 1 p.m.) or from 2.30p.m. to 6.30 p.m. (last admission at 6.00 p.m.)
- Please, note that on Wednesday 24th April and 1st May visits are available only during the afternoon from 2.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. (last entrance).
- the audio guided tour lasts about 40 minutes, during your visit you can stop and resume it whenever you want. An online text version of the guide is also available
- for the audio guide to work properly, your device must be connected to internet data
- the St. Benedict's Monastery is a place of culture and worship, please behave appropriately and wear suitable clothing, covering shoulders and knees
