Excavated in the rock, it was built according to the typical local building tradition where the front part is built in rocks and the rest is built using the local calcarenite bricks
• Casa Cava: The Casa Cava is a hypogeum environment that was once used as a Tuff quarry. Today, this space is used as an auditorium and conference center thanks to an exceptional restoration works
• Museo Immersivo della Bruna: located in the heart of Sasso Barisano, this museum offers a multimedia path through one of the most popular festivals in town, the ‘Madonna Della Bruna’. Through legends, images, sounds and tales you can immerse yourself in the most spectacular moment of the festivity, that of the ‘strazzo’ (local dialect word meaning the destruction of the triumphal chariot), reliving the emotions that unite an entire community on that special day
• Museo Racconti in Pietra: discover the most ancient phases of the development of the city and the territory. Get ready to meet the dinosaurs and creatures that once populated these places, such as the Giuliana whale
