Since the '50s, the city of Matera has turned into a major movie set. The city has been especially suitable as a location for biblical movies, because of its similarity to the Holy Land. But, more recently, it has also been used as a set for action and adventure movies.From August to September 2019, the Sassi of Matera have been the set for some scenes of "007: No time to die", which was released in movie theatres on September 2022.With this guided walking tour of the Sassi of Matera you'll retrace the steps of Daniel Craig's James Bond and learn more about the movie's shooting and the city's history and architecture.
