The grand sumo tournament tour in Tokyo is a small group tour with real-time commentaries by a sumo expert guide.
This is not just about watching the sumo tournament but includes:

Walking tour around Ryogoku, a sumo town (Optional)
Visit sumo-related landmarks and look at sumo stables from outside where sumo wrestlers live and train. Increase joy of watching the tournament by learning a lot about sumo from as you visit many sumo related must-see spots before you actually view the bouts in the arena.
Lunch at a chanko-nabe restaurant (Optional)
This nutrient dish is in the centerpiece of sumo wrestlers’ diet to gain weight and muscles to build their bodies.
Use of an earphone guide system during the tour to hear the guide clearly even from a distance.

We are going to use Chair B and Chair C seats; Chair B seats are closer to the ring; see the seating map posted in the photo section on this page.

Not wheelchair accessible. Near public transportation. Infants must sit on laps. Most travelers can participate. Each option is described below.. “Chair B seat with chanko lunch” option: Meet at 9:45; do the sumo-related landmark tour; have lunch included in the tour; view bouts in the arena.. “Chair B seat without lunch” option: Meet at 9:45; do the sumo-related landmark tour; lunch time (lunch is not included); view bouts in the arena.. “Chair B without morning tour” option: Meet at 13:30; view bouts in the arena; lunch is not included.. “Chair B - Just sumo viewing” option: Meet at 9:45; go straight to the arena to view bouts; lunchi is not included.. “Chair C seat with chanko lunch” option: Meet at 9:45; do the sumo-related landmark tour; have lunch included in the tour; view bouts in the arena.. “Chair C seat without lunch” option: Meet at 9:45; do the sumo-related landmark tour; lunch time (lunch is not included); view bouts in the arena.. “Chair C without morning tour” option: Meet at 13:30; view bouts in the arena; lunch is not included.. “Chair C - Just sumo viewing” option: Meet at 9:45; go straight to the arena to view bouts; lunchi is not included.. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
