What To Expect

Jiki Miyazawa is a kaiseki (multi-course) restaurant that has won a Michelin star several years in a row. Owner-chef Masahito Miyazawa opened his restaurant in 2007 after many years working for a catering restaurant for the tea ceremony, and other famous Japanese restaurants where he honed his craft. Here he puts his own spin on kaiseki-ryori, right down to the tableware — most of the bowls and plates he uses are antiques over 100 years old.To taste this fine cuisine, reservations are mandatory. The restaurant has only 11 counter seats making it quite hard to secure your seats. Book your seats through this restaurant reservation service, and enjoy the delicious taste of Jiki Miyazawa's kaiseki course dinner!Your experience will include four specialties. Grilled goma-dofu, covered in sesame cream for a rich flavor. A side dish of lightly salted karasumi served on top of mochi rice. At the end of the meal comes white rice served three ways: the first serving is firm and only just done; the next — a scoop from the middle of the pot — has more moisture; the last bowl has a little extra sweetness. Finally, buns filled with Tamba azuki are served for dessert. The exquisite taste and care in cooking are precisely what you'd expect from such a passionate restaurant.
