Shinyakushiji Temple was built approximately 1,300 years ago to pray for Emperor Shomu, who built the Great Buddha of Nara, to recover from his illness. Guided by the chief priest, you will have a chance to see the national treasures and a special view of the mysterious Jizo statue at Koyakushi-do Hall, which is usually closed to the public, giving you a sense of the history that dates back to the Nara period.
Next, at the Naramachi Kominka restaurant, which is a 140-year-old renovated townhouse, you can enjoy the history of Nara with dishes that incorporate seasonal traditional Yamato vegetables and ingredients from the Nara period that have been elucidated through research on Nagaya royal wooden strips. I'll enjoy having this.
