Join a private charter bus day-trip to Yanagawa and Dazaifu, both located in Fukuoka Prefecture, and enjoy participating in the traditional strawberry picking. After being picked up directly from your hotel in Fukuoka, you’ll first stop in Yanagawa, which is also know as the “Venice of Kyushu” because of its being surrounded by hundreds of navigable canals by gondolas. Your guide will tell you about the strawberry picking tradition and you’ll even be able to take part in this by buying a ticket in avance or, if still possible, paying directly on site. You’ll then complete your day-trip by stopping in Dazaifu, where one of the main shrines dedicated to Tenjin – a deity of the Shinto religion - is. The Dazaifu Tanmangu Shrine was built over the grave of Sugawara no Michizane, a famous scholar, poet and politician from the Heian period. At the end of the tour, you’ll be be driven back to your accomodation in Fukuoka.
