Enjoy a morning tour of Mombasa. You will have the opportunity to visit the city and do some local shopping. The city of Mombasa dates back to the 12th century to when spice traders coming from Arabia crossed in their paths with the southern part of Africa on their Trade Winds. You will visit the historic quarter dominated by Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, in the old quarter you will also find ancient Mosques and narrow street bustling with local activities.
Aside from the buildings, you will see the old dhow harbor and visit the Akamba wood carve watching the carvers at work.
After visiting the historic and local side of Mombasa you will return to your hotel at around lunchtime.
