What To Expect
Join a local family at the table, cook together, and share stories, for a truly unique cultural adventure!Step into a completely different way of sharing and getting to know each other in a cozy, private home. Meet your local host family and, after having your first drink together, start helping prepare the meal, observing, taking notes to record all the recipes, and taking pictures with your new friends. All the local families speak at least some basic English, and you will have a chance to chat and learn about daily life in their town and country, ask what you want to know, and share something yourself! Each meeting is personal, with only your family or group and the host family.Enjoy this unparalleled way to learn about the real local culture!
What to remember
Important info
- Remember to adapt your clothes to the local culture: in bigger cities the culture is different than in the countryside, but too much skin is not appreciated anywhere
- Don't forget to ask permission and discuss when you want to take pictures of the local family (and/or post them on social media). Most of the time everyone is fine with it
- The minimum number of participants is 2
