This tour starts with a hotel pick-up at 5.00am and travel around two and a half to visit the Udawalawa National Park. It's a forest reserve created to provide sanctuary to wild animals displaced during the construction of the Udawalawe reservoir. Within the national park, there's a facility called Elephant Transit home, which was established in 1995 by Sri Lanka's department of wildlife conservation to rehabilitate orphan elephants and to release them to the wild. On top of the elephants, there are also several birds and buffalos you can see in these two and a half hour safari. Finally, you will have lunch to finish the tour and go back to Ella.
Enjoy the safari in Udawalawa National Park. See the beautiful elephants at Elephant Transit home. Perfect for those who love animals and wildlife
