How did this great city come into being ? what makes Valletta so unique ? who were the Knights of Malta ?, and what about the British period ?, during this walking tour you will learn how it all began, how it evolved over the centuries and about the events which shaped Valletta into the city that it is today.
This walk will take you past the city’s main landmarks as well as off the beaten track. In just 2½ hours you will see and learn about Valletta’s most notorious buildings as well as about its hidden charms.
During this tour we will walk by various landmarks, some of the highlights include:
Valletta City Gate, Parliament Of Malta, Castille Square, Upper Barrakka Gardens, Merchants Street, St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Castellania, Old University, Palace Square, Republic Square, Valletta’s side streets and many more.

Meeting Point: In front of the new parliament building, at the main entrance to the city ( google location ). Your guide will have the City Walking Tours Malta sign or umbrella.

Public buses as well as the various hop-on hop-off bus companies operate to Valletta City Gate. There is also a multi-story car park just outside City Gate.
