ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA OF YAXCHILÁN AND BONAMPAK FROM PALENQUE
Departure at 6:00 a.m. we will go to the community of Frontera Corozal, on the way there will be a time for breakfast in the community "July 11". From the jetty we will board a boat that will lead us to the site, making a 45-minute tour in the Usumacinta River flows until we reach the Archaeological Zone of Yaxchilán, its importance lies in the beauty of its architecture and also in its 124 texts distributed in 30 stelae, 21 altars, 59 lintels and seven different inscriptions. Later there will be a time to taste a meal and to end the tour we will visit the Archaeological Zone of Bonampak, an ancient city whose meaning in Mayan is “painted walls” for its amazing well-preserved cave paintings, also contains steles and lintels. To end the tour you will be transferred to the city of Palenque Chiapas. Return approximately 17:00 hours.
