What To Expect
Depart San Cristòbal de las Casas for a boat ride on the Grijalva River through the Sumidero Canyon, a soaring vertical canyon formed around the same time as America's Grand Canyon. Admire the wildlife and the scenic rain forest. Then visit the 'Magic Town' of Chiapa de Corzo, the oldest town in the state of Chiapas, known for its natural beauty and historical significance. See centuries-old landmarks and the huge tree the town was founded around, and gather a few souvenirs before heading back to San Cristòbal.
