Description

Enjoy a full-day trip from Mexico City to visit two great cities: Cuernavaca and Taxco.Called "The City of the Eternal Spring", Cuernavaca has one of the oldest churches in the country; the cathedral is a building from the XVI Century. You will also see the Cortés Palace from the outside. This building was made by order of Hernán Cortés in the following years of the Mexico Conquest. Later on, you will visit the monument of Morelos, an insurgent soldier and Mexican patriot, who was the author of the second stage of the Independence War in Mexico. You will continue your way to Taxco, a colonial city with thousands of years of history. The city is located on a hill with winding cobblestone streets, cozy squares, and a strong old-world environment that has survived through hundreds of years. You will visit one of the most beautiful churches of Mexico, Santa Prisca; built-in 1759 by the French immigrant José de la Borda, who literally ran into a huge amount of silver. Taxco is famous for its silver mines and quality stores. You will have the opportunity to see and purchase works of art made by Mexican artisans.
