The Frida Kahlo Museum is located in one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods of Mexico City, downtown Coyoacan.
The Blue House is Frida Kahlo's Intimate Universe. In this beautiful residence, the artist lived most of her life; initially with her family and years later, with Diego Rivera. Also, interesting Mexican and foreign visitors stayed at this place, attracted by the captivating couple of artists.
Frida wanted to leave her home as a Museum, for learning and enjoying her beloved Mexico. That is why, after his death, Diego organizes here, the Frida Kahlo Museum.
Museography was carried out by the museum designer, professor and great poet Carlos Pellicer, a close friend of the couple. The administration of the Museum was entrusted to the Trust of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Museums.
