Day of the Dead in Mixquic- Special event 1 and 2 November

Live one of the most special Mexican traditions that takes place only on November 1 and 2, celebrating the Day of the Dead.
The tour starts at San Andrés Mixquic to visit its historic center and its main temple, venerating San Andrés Apostol.
You will know the tradition of the day of the dead from the visit to the religious temple until they arrive at the cemetery where the tombs are adorned with the cempasúchil flower; A unique flower of Mexico, bright orange color used to guide the path of the dead who return home at this time.
The tombs are decorated with colorful flowers, candles, sawdust mats and the dead are celebrated with pre-Hispanic dances, fireworks and altars with photographs, typical food and personal tastes of the deceased in question.
You will see an exhibition of offerings and enjoy the true traditions of Day of the Dead. As a gift, we will give you a chocolate skull that you can taste or take as a souvenir of your trip through Mexico.
