Archological sites' taxes must be paid on site the day of the tour or the day before, they cost 40 USD. Only credit card payments accepted.. Mexicans have a discount on the tax for archaeological sites upon presentation of their identification on the day of the tour. The discount will not be applicable without official identification.. The snorkeling tour at the cenote's caves is optional. If any client does not want to participate, he or she can stay at the cenote or the facilities on-site.
