We depart Zihuatanejo & travel to Pátzcuaro, where you will explore its picturesque center & admire its colonial architecture, colorful markets, & tranquil plazas.
Spend the night in Morelia, in the historic center, surrounded by elegant buildings, monuments, and gardens. You will also visit the library and the cathedral, two of the city’s most emblematic landmarks.
Day 2, you will experience the most amazing natural phenomena: the migration of millions of monarch butterflies, fluttering in the air, or resting on the trees. You may walk or ride a horse up to the sanctuary.
After lunch, we head to Tlalpujahua, where you will see Casa de Santa, famous for its hand-blown glass Christmas ornaments.
Day 3, you will depart Morelia for Isla Janitzio by boat where you will have lunch with panoramic views of Lake Pátzcuaro & visit the statue of José María Morelos, and learn about his life and legacy before returning to Zihuatanejo

No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. Not recommended for people with lung problems due to the altitude. Must be able to climb 350 stairs unassisted. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers.
