What To Expect

Explore the pink paradise of Las Coloradas on this full-day tour from Cancún and Riviera Maya. Enjoy a scenic trip with a focus on the landscape. During the excursion, you'll discover the reason for the water's color.Visit a 16th-century hacienda, where you'll have breakfast before embarking on a tour of the otherworldly landscape of Las Coloradas and a boat trip on Río Lagartos (Lizards River), always accompanied by your guide's commentary. Take a long boat ride at the beginning to see the different types of birds. The guides will try to get as close as they can to the sand dunes and you will be able to take in the best view from the boat. If you are lucky, you'll be able to spot crocodiles in the natural habitat.Later, go back to Río Lagartos Lagoon passing in front of the town towards the end of Río Lagartos. Here you'll make a stop and you'll have the opportunity to do an optional exfoliation with sand mud, a Mayan ritual. Your last stop will be at the end of Río Lagartos to swim exactly where the river connects with the sea.
