What To Expect
With this tour you will go back more than 3000 years in time, the Olmec Culture will receive you in the vestiges of its first city, "Tres Zapotes", where everything is born in Mesoamerica. You will have the support of a local guide. Then in the center of Santiago Tuxtla, for some time "the capital of the Marquisate of the Valley", wait for you the majestic Colossal Head, the largest one found so far, and there you will also visit the Tuxtleco museum.
In Catemaco and aboard a boat you will take a ride on Catemaco’s Lake, where you can observe the rich flora and fauna, the famous Monkey Islands and The Herons’ Island, in a setting of green mountains. Later you will arrive at the Nanciyaga Ecological Reserve, where you will admire the biodiversity that exists in the area.
