Cheesemaking Workshop and Clog Tour

Ever wondered how that delicious Gouda cheese is made? Learn the craft of making cheese at a Dutch cheese farm! Enjoy a guided tour and taste some of the best cheeses, biscuits and wine that Holland has to offer.Starting out with milk from the local cows, learn about the steps involved in making cheese. Mixing, heating, pressing and eventually eating, of course! Make your own little farmer's cheese. This is a very young cheese that can be eaten directly or ripened at home using liquid plastic as a cover around the cheese.After the workshop, you will take a guided tour in the clog factory. See a piece of wood turn into footwear and learn about the different varieties of clogs.

Important information

Know in advance: * During the workshop, you will make your cheese using raw (cow) milk fresh from the dairy farm * At the end of the workshop, you will receive your own cheese which is very young at this point. It is possible to ripen the cheese at home under certain circumstances, information will be provided during the workshop * The duration of the workshop is about 2.5 hours, including the tour through the clog factory.
