What To Expect

Discover the joys of sea kayaking in this beginner-level introduction course in central Oslo. Accompanied by a certified and skilled instructor, you will learn the basics in a safe and controlled environment. All the necessary gear is included so as to keep you paddling safely and warmly.During the course you will learn about basic kayaking equipment, proper paddling techniques and safety on the water. You will also be taught how to rescue yourself and others.After completing this course you will be awarded with an NPF Våttkort (wetcard) certificate. This nationally recognized qualification will allow you to rent kayaks so that you can paddle alone or with friends. The freedom of adventures awaits you!

What to remember

Important info

Minimum age of participants: 14 years
All participants must be able to swim
Fitness level requirement: low to medium
No previous sea kayaking experience is needed
Bring a towel and at least two layers of wool thermals without zips (top and bottom), as well as wool socks to wear under the dry suit
If the course is cancelled by the tour operator due to difficult weather conditions or not having enough participants, you will be offered the chance to choose another date or to get a full refund
