Glacier Country Helicopters is a local, family owned and operated company based in Franz Josef. Husband and wife team Gus and Poppy own the company and are both commercial pilots.

Important info

Not wheelchair accessible. Near public transportation. Infants must sit on laps. Most travelers can participate. Our helicopter seats are 40cm wide. If you would like extra space or are wider than this we highly recommend booking a comfort seat which guarantees an empty seat next to you.. Please let us know if you have limited mobility e.g. injury, arthritis or recent surgery? There are two high ladder style steps into the helicopter. This information could effect what helicopter we fly you in. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
