Let’s visit a real indigenous Embera community, just 1 hour from Panama City, in the middle of the jungle around the Chagres river. This will be an exciting experience far from the civilization with natural and beautiful landscapes, amazing rainforest hike and the surprising Embera lifestyle.
Not wheelchair accessible. Infants must sit on laps. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. We recommend to wear water shoes, hiking sandals or sport shoes that you don't mind if get wet, avoid beach sandals, flip flops or Crocs similars because you will be walking on mud, slippery rocks and water.. At the end of the trail there is a waterfall with shallow waters where you can swim with clothes or you could bring swimsuit under clothes because there is no place to change there. There are proper bathrooms at the village where you can change at the end and bring an extra change of clothes for the way back to your accommodation.. We suggest to bring cash in case you want to buy souvenirs or have a temporary tattoo.. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers.
