The programme:
• Theoretical introduction, how pierogi came to Poland
• Making, kneading and shaping dough
• Making stuffing in four basic versions - Russian style pierogi, pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms, pierogi with meat and pierogis with seasonal fruit.
• Techniques for sticking (glue?) together (“Lepić” – as we say in Poland) pierogi
• Selecting and making an gravy for basic versions of pierogi
• Principles of cooking pierogi
During the workshop you will learn
• How to make dumplings on your own in your own kitchen
• How to make dough
• How to stick together (“lepić) as we say in Poland) pierogi
• How to make the most popular stuffing for pierogi
• How to make different types of toppings and how to match them to pierogi.
• You will hear many anecdotes and stories
