What To Expect

We leave from Porto at 8AM towards Arouca town where we'll stop shortly for bathrooms and for coffee.

Get ready for adventure! After a short drive, we'll arrive at the Walkways and cross one of the Longest Suspension Bridges of the World – The 516 Arouca! It spans 516m (1,692ft) across the valley and hangs 175m (576ft) above the Paiva river!

Notice: crossing the bridge is not mandatory. You can skip it.

The Paiva Walkways is a 7km wooden boardwalk zig-zagging downhill along the left bank of the river.

Time for lunch! A delicious meal will take place at a typical restaurant! Meat, fish or vegetarian options available.

After a power nap in the van, it’s time to relax in Aveiro, also known as the “Portuguese Venice”!

Discover the city center with us on a short walk and enjoy free time to spoil yourself with a local delicacy “ovos-moles” – sweet eggs, or a ice cream, or a beer!

Enjoy a boat trip over the canals and discover the charming city through the canals.

Return to Porto!

Important info

Not wheelchair accessible. Only children 6+ years old can cross the Bridge and must be accompanied by an adult. A minimum of 2 people per booking is required. Infant seats available. Most travelers can participate. Notice: Right before our walk starts, we need to go through a winding road over the Paiva mountain. If you have car motion sickness problems, we advise you to have a tablet or a pill to help with that issue.. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers. Confirmation will be received at time of booking
