Guimarães, the nation's birthplace and World Heritage, with its medieval atmosphere caused by the castle of the X century and Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, asks for a walk through the streets and squares in the heart of the city, where the charm and history are palpable! We will visit the imposing 10th century castle, pass by the majestic Dukes of Bragança Palace and the historical center.
After a relaxing lunch break included, we head to Braga, the oldest Portuguese city and religious capital of Portugal. For centuries, the city has been an archiepiscopal seat and pilgrimage site.We will go to Sé, the 11th century cathedral, followed by a visit to Bom Jesus Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site, located in one of the hills surrounding the city.
