The West side of Terceira leads us to discover more of its history over the centuries. We start by enjoying the fantastic viewpoint of the Cume Sierra, from where we admire the fields divided like in an authentic patchwork: an unique landscape. On the way to the other side of the island, there will always be the possibility of seeing the fields where the bulls on the island lives, as they are a very important part of Terceira culture. When we get to the North Coast, we will explore how volcanoes and the ocean have shaped the coastline, into unique geological structures. During the morning there will also be enough time to explore the second-largest city in the island, Praia da Vitória, before our lunch at a restaurant. Then we climb up to the viewpoint of Facho, to admire the whole city, before going to the bathing area of Porto Martins pools. In the way of Angra, there’s still time to admire the traditional Espírito Santo chappels, closely connected to the history of the archipelago.
