What To Expect

Take a walk in the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, created by French naturalist Pierre Poivre in 1767. Among the 650 varieties of plants are the famous Virginia Regina water lilies and 80 different varieties of palm tree. Continue to La Citadelle in Port Louis, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Champ de Mars racecourse and the city. Drive through Place d'Armes, the Saint Louis Cathedral, the Supreme Court, the Municipal Theatre and Government House. Finally, is a stroll along the local market and the Caudan Waterfront with its many boutiques, craft market, and a kaleidoscope of local life.
