What To Expect

Explore the complex pre-war history of Louisiana with a tour of Laura Plantation where a guide will illuminate Creole history and share stories of both the free and enslaved people who lived there. Learn about Louisiana’s Creole plantation life on a history tour Walk around historic homes, cottages, gardens, and slave cabins Learn about the dark history and impact of the American slave trade Includes private transportation from New Orleans hotels

After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE).

After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes airboat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.
