8 Days / 7 nights - Snowshoeing Adventure in Germany & Austria

We experience wonderful winter days around Schleching, the Walchsee and Kaiserwendl on this Snowshoeing Adventure in Germany & Austria. The hikes take us through snow-covered valleys to sunny high plateaus, we experience the full diversity of the wintery region of Tyrol and Bavaria. We cross regularly the border between Germany and Austria to showcase both cultures and landscapes. Quaint huts invite us on both sides for a cosy stop during the hike or, of course, afterwards.

The Chiemgauer Alps are excellently suited for snowshoeing: gentle meadow slopes, romantic winter forests, dreamy clearings with gnarled, old trees, sleepy alpine huts and a bench to rest on the hut wall – a real paradise to relax.

We live in Schlechsing, a mountaineering village in Bavaria, very close to the Austrian border. Breakfast is prepared in-house and we will have dinner (Dinner included is optional) in various locations in the village to enjoy the fine Bavarian Cuisine.

The Mountaineering Villages is surrounded by a pretty Alpine landscape, mainly foothills comprising lush meadows, wooded sub-Alpine peaks and the typically rugged summits of the northern Kalkalpen (Limestone Alps).
