Journey through Rome’s past on this guided small-group tour of the Pantheon of Agrippthe and the Jewish Ghetto. Admire the famous hole in the Pantheon’s dome and visit Raphael's tomb. Walk through the ruins of the Jewish Ghetto and learn about its history.
Your tour will begin at the Pantheon, but before entering your expert guide will detail its construction and explain the history of the epic columns, brought over from Egypt.
Once you’ve entered, admire the craftsmanship and skill that went into the building. Especially the oculus: a large central opening with a diameter of 8.8 meters, the only source of natural light in the building apart from the entry.
You’ll explore the chapels and see the works of art they house. Learn about the Pantheon’s role as the seat of the Academy of Virtuosi in Rome and as the tomb of great Italians, such as Raphael of Urbino, the king Vittorio Emanuele II, and more.
