What To Expect

Start your day with the trip to the Slanic Salt Mine. This salt mine, located in a wonderful environment was opened for the first time in 1938 and to reach it you will go 400 meters down. The microclimate inside makes it one of the favorite places for both locals and travelers.
Also, having a constant temperature inside of never more than 54 degrees Fahrenheit ( 12 degrees Celsius) is a perfect place to visit in a hot summer. Your next stop will be a unique and also an odd place - the mud volcanoes. These small volcanoes stand just a few meters above ground and they exist just because of a unique combination of water and natural gases creating a moon-like terrain.
The next stop is Ciolanu Monastery a beautiful monastery of Eastern Orthodox monks. It is well known for its late 19th century icons painted by famous artist Tatarascu.
