What To Expect
The all-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art is located in a complex of buildings registered as the landmark of late XVIII-XX centuries architecture. Muscovites call this old mansion the Osterman House after the name of its former owners.It is the only museum in Russia representing a united collection of works of arts and crafts of Russia - from folk art to works by modern artists. Apart from the very wide and mind boggling variety of amber, it has exhibitions on local pottery trends and old historic furniture. Your guide will walk you through the most fascinating halls and exhibits and in the end of the tour you will be invited to join matryoshka-painting master-class and a tea party arranged in accordance to Russian customs and traditions.
