What To Expect

Travel outside the Capital for an unique winter experience: go for a ride on dog-sleds through the woods and enjoy a typical Russian meal in an authentic grill-house. After go for a good walk and tubing from the hill. When winter comes to Russia, it turns the North into a snowy paradise, where the main inhabitants are Siberian huskies – the dog breed full of love for freedom, speed, cold and humans. When you come, you simply have to let these beautiful dogs share their warmth and tenderness with you.You will be welcomed aboard a minibus with a private guide in the morning to travel outside Saint Petersburg to the wonderful place located in the middle of the forest on the shore of a stunning lake. As soon as you get there, you will meet the main kayur (dog-sled leader) who participated to the main Arctic expeditions in Russia in the 21st century. You will discover the breathtaking history of huskies’ breed and some real stories about how is it to be a polar explorer in Arctic.Right after you will get to the dogs. However, everyone should remember that this is not a zoo. In there it’s basically you are introduced to the dogs. Let the huskies share they love with you, first, and then take you to the sled-ride in the snow-covered forest. After the ride you can do some tubing from the snow-hill or walk along the bank of a frozen lake. This fascinating experience will proceed with traditional Russian meal in the indigenous-style grill-house called “chum”, where you will see how to cook “shashlik in tandoor” – Russian meat sticks in a special stone oven. Also, you will enjoy typical Russian fish-soup called “uha”, home-made glue wine and desserts.Take as many photos as you can with dogs, kayurs and amongst the magnificent snowy surrounding that Russian northern Nature offers you.
