What To Expect

There is always a chance to meet one of the gorilla families while climbing without paying the gorilla permit. On your way up, you’ll be trekking through a number of different vegetation zones after passing through bamboo forest, the preferred food of golden monkeys and mountain gorillas.

Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers. What's included

Coffee and/or Tea - We always enjoy our coffee while checking in for legal formalities and getting briefing from park rangers. Snacks - The snacks, water & juice are given from the starting point for you to enjoy them while climbing the volcano. Lunch - The packed lunch is given per head to be eaten either on your way climbing or by the time you reach the summit of the volcano
