What To Expect

Imagine a clear starry sky evening far from the city lights and you may be lucky enough to see the majestic Northern Lights in the heart of Lapland. You are travelling in a reindeer caravan as the Sámi people did for hundreds of years ago in these areas. This is a true winter adventure which will make your smile shine in the winter darkness. One hour twenty minutes after you have left the urban life behind you, you will find yourself in a completely different environment where the reindeer is in the center. You can become a reindeer herder for a evening. You get to accompany the Sámi reindeer herder during his everyday life as he feeds his reindeer herd and looks after them.
This is a region where humans are few and the animals reign.
Your stay may be memorable, restful and at the same time refreshing for body and soul. Something to take with you into the future.

Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for travelers with back problems. No heart problems or other serious medical conditions. Most travelers can participate. What's included

Dinner - Traditional Sámi food, fried smoked reindeer meat, with pita bread & blueberries and lingonberries drink.. Transfer by minibus: From Kiruna to reindeer corral (One hour and twenty minutes ) / Roundtrip. Winter clothes and warm boots.. Reindeer caravan in the dark in the evening, Under the starry sky.. Feed reindeer from the hand.. You can borrow a headlamp.

Traveler pickup is offered
WE DO NOT PICK UP AT INDIVIDUAL HOTELS OR LOCATIONS! We ONLY pick you up from the SELECTED pick up point on your booking. Be ready for pickup at 5.20 PM in your hotel in Kiruna or in Tourist information Kiruna Swedish Lapland in the foyer or at the exit of the hotel. We pick up between 5.20-5.40 PM depending on which hotel you are at. Pick-up at the Icehotel and Camp Alta about 5.50 PM. We call if there's anything.
