The trek starts and ends at Mae Kampong. Mae Kampong is a beautiful mountain village, only about an hour’s drive from Chiang Mai. The village is located at around 1300 metres altitude so temperatures are pleasant year-round. A sparkling stream runs through the village. Mae Kampong is only one hour drive from Chiang Mai.
The village is set in the midst of a largely untouched forest. This National Park’s area is 592 square kilometres. Highest peaks in the park reach elevations of 2000 meters. Doi Mon Lan is one of those peaks. At 1700 meters elevation Doi Mon Lan is one of those peaks. As this is a private tour we can adjust the trekking to your needs.
