Our sanctuary encompasses an entire mountainside. This is as close as possible to seeing elephants in the wild in a sanctuary. It is a non-commercial experience. We have two missions: one is to care for and protect the elephants and to ensure our guests have an educational and entertaining experience. Our guest services can be summed up in one sentence: It's All About You.
Elephant Retreat Sanctuary is located in the northern mountains of Chiang Mai. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. This activity requires guests to have good mobility.
