The ancient world and old ways come to life during this small group tour to Ephesus and Sirince. You'll travel into sun-soaked hills to discover one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the world. At Ephesus, you'll admire historical buildings, including the famous Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian and more. It's a little less ancient but a sense of yesteryear permeates in Sirince. Here you'll have lunch at a typical restaurant before enjoying some free time to stroll along the town's cobbled streets. On the way back, you'll stop at a ceramic centre where you can browse local handmade pottery.
If you fancy a change of scenery one evening, then this tour will have you covered. One of the most popular trips in Turkey, the Twelve Islands cruise is an opportunity to explore in a traditional gulet the many beautiful and varied islands that are dotted like jewels around Gocek. Swim stops pepper the day, giving you a closer look at ancient Boynuzbuku and hilly Zeytin. Tersane is the biggest of the islands. Back in Ottoman times, it was famous for its shipbuilding, but nowadays the hills are scattered with sun-bleached ruins. Your voyage also squeezes in a couple of re-fuelling stops, including lunch and a coffee break, and time for a swim and to explore on land.
Dotted with islands and coves, and some crystal-clear water between, Gocek Bay is an enchanting place for a boat trip – especially at sunset. Setting off later in the day means you'll get to enjoy the last of the sunshine followed by a postcard-worthy sunset. Your captain will drop anchor along the way so you can take a dip in the inviting water before your on-board dinner is served. What's more, beer, wine and soft drinks will be on tap throughout the evening, so you can sit back and watch the scenery and sunset unfold. You'll have plenty of space to stretch out, too, with a maximum of only 25 guests on board the boat.
