Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania. Its name comes from the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its southeastern margin and is the core of this game-viewing experience. Ruaha is located in central Tanzania about 130km west of Iringa. Considered the largest national park, it hosts hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, buffalos, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, jackals, lions, antelope species, giraffes, zebras, and an astonishing 465 species of birds as well.ItineraryDay 1: Departure from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha by a light aircraft. An open 4x4 vehicle will drive you to the camp where lunch will be served. Enjoy a spectacular sunset during the afternoon game drive. You will end your day with dinner and overnight at the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.Day 2: After breakfast full-day game drive begins. The day will be spent looking for animals along the Great Ruaha River and through the National Park. You will end your day with dinner and overnight at the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge.Day 3: After breakfast clients will be dropped off at the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam. Once there drop-off is available at the airport or to the hotel of your choice.
